Definitely could identify with Iyanna. I'm half black and Puerto Rican. I don't speak Spanish so I have never really been accepted as PR, and I'm light skinned so not really accepted as black all the time either.

Absolutely loved the book! Very eye opening! It made me laugh, it made me cry and feel proud in some chapters I read. I defiantly, feel as though this is a book that should have been written. In addition, it couldn't have come at a better time in our society.
